Run, Forest, Run!
Every time I come home from my morning jog, I get this very odd, and yet strangely amusing impression that the plants right outside my house are stretching out their stems and leaves as if to offer a high five for a job well done. Naturally, I accept the offer.

For the Birds.
They were talking about that airplane landing in the Hudson River on the news again. Pretty amazing story. A flock of birds got caught in one of the engine turbines, and the pilot had to maneuver the plane safely onto the surface of the Hudson, a difficult feat executed flawlessly by the veteran pilot. No one got injured, thankfully.
