Disneyland Summer Nightastic Things-To-Did
Went to my 2nd Annual Disneyland Birthday Adventure to renew my pass. Had an amazing time with great friends: BenBen, Jacko, ChrisTac, Jawhz & Burn, Pumpkin, RJitsu, and Darrell the Dirk.
Here is what we did…
- Load up into TicTac’s van… The Adventure Begins
- Played a couple games of Reverse Post-It: You have red hair and wear the same thing everyday? You’re Chuckie Finster! Are you a tall and gangly 15-year-old? You’re Seth Clearwater! Did YOU do that? You’re Steve Urkel! You’re a nonhuman nonanimal nonplant that can’t fly and can’t run? You’re C3P0! Are you black? You’re Al Roker.
- Sipped on some Bicardi like it’s my birthday… and Captain Mo w/ Jahwz
- Picked up “Ebo” birthday button… Darrell picked up his “Dirk” button although his birthday is October 13th
- First stop: SOARIN’ FOR KARA… and a Bacardi swig w/ Jahwz while flying over New York… (Stupid! This is California. We’re flying over Los Angeles.)
- Rita’s Margaritas
- Classic moment: BenBen and Jacko come looking for us. All eight of us hide behind a single skinny tree (including Pumpkin and RJitsu who are quite large.) We rotate around the tree to adjust to their line of vision as they walk. Jacko looks straight at us and still has no clue. Only our constant snickering alerts them of our ridiculous location… the Beer Lady saw the whole thing

- California Screamin’… Begin ZULU War Cry
- Juicy Turkey Leg, Lemon-Lime Corn on the Cob, and a Hefeweizen
- Trippy spinning Toy Story animation exhibit
- Talked with Crush
- Learned how to draw Dopey.. the punk rock version.
- Pumpkin misheard the instructor. Started with an oreo-sized circle instead of an orange-sized one. His Dopey was tiny.
- Ali Baba & the Forty Thieves… Dancemaster Chris starts… BenBen ignores it and does her own dance.. Bernie-style dancing
- Tower of Terror… That first drop ALWAYS gets me
- Pirates of the Caribbean… “Here’s the place where we drink to our insanity!”
- Mint Julep… mmmm… Mint Julep and Rum… MMMMMMMM!
- Haunted Mansion… Where’s Darrell?? Dooooooh!!!
- Take the backstage exit to find him… creepy

- Pizza Port… Chicken Fucilli and a breadstick… Perfection. Free drink, too!
- Go with BenBen to renew pass while the others ride Space Mtn.
- Stop by TLT Dance Club and do the Hannah Montana Hoedown Throwdown!!!! Boom boom clap. Boom de clap de clap.
- SUMMER NIGHTASTIC!!!! Can’t wait for the crazy 40-foot dragon… ooh new crocodile looks cool… can’t wait to see the dragon… the new ursula eels come and go, pretty sweet… can’t wait to see the dragon… SCARY MUSIC! DOH! HERE IT IS!!! THE MOMENT WE’VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR!!! THE 40-FOOT FUCKING DRAGON!!!! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH…….

- Only one ride left… enough time for the best ride ever… BIG THUNDER MOUNTAIN RAILROAD NIGHT VERSION! Screaming our lungs out. ZULU War Cries at every dip and every turn. ZUU-LUUU!!!
- Clap it up for a Disney trip well done
- ZULU-fying songs on the way home. Classic. “Shaka… just killed a man… put my spear against his head… threw the Iwisa now he’s dead… SHAKA!!! ZUU-LUUUUUU…. I don’t wanna die!” (you get the picture)
- “It’s not far, to Shaka Zulu Land. No reason to pretend… Zulu believe in me”
- El Cotixan for Darrell the Dirk’s last taste of carne asada fries before going back home to Chicago
- Pass out. Very old, and very tired. Counting down the days until the next annual Disneyland Adventure when we do it all over again.
