The CLINCH Who Stole Christmas #XMAS

It feels like yesterday when the Chargers were sitting on a 2-3 start after a heartbreaking loss to the Denver Broncos. Critics immediately jumped onto the wagon, declaring that the highly anticipated 2009-10 Charger team was a big disappointment. Week 7 rolled around, and the Bolts were forced to shrug off the Denver loss and focused their attention to the KC Chiefs. That day I made my own declaration: The Chargers will end the season 13-3. That day, the Bolts won a blowout against the Chiefs, and have continued to charge to victory ever since (including a commanding beatdown against the once 6-0 Denver Broncos).
After the win against the Cincy Bengals, we clinched our division. On Christmas Night, we clinched the number 2 seed in the AFC playoffs.
The Chargers are who we thought they were. A Championship Team.
When they march on the field, they have the ferocity of warriors and the poise of professionals. On Christmas Night, to seal their right as the number 2 seed in the AFC, they dissected the Tennessee Titans with surgical precision. If the Chargers locker room were an operating room, then Philip Rivers would be the head surgeon. Rivers completed 21 out of 27 passes, threw for 264 yards, and scored 2 touchdowns, slicing right through that Titan defense to end the game 42-17.
Win or lose, the game against the Redskins next week means absolutely nothing. What does matter, is a highly conceivable shot at earning the Great One LaDainian Tomlinson his long deserved Championship Ring. Once the postseason comes around, the Chargers will be only three wins away from making that a reality.
There’s a new wagon in town. The bandwagon. Enjoy the ride.
